Sant'Isidoro, Maria Pia Castelli
Gifted by a lovely couple on 31/12/2024
  • Appearance: deep colour intensity, pink with an orange hint
  • Nose: medium(+) aroma intensity, flint, smoke, grass, mint, raspberry cranberry, creamy almost buttery
  • Structure: off-dry, slight fizz, high acidity, high alcohol(14%), medium(+)body, mediun(-)finish
  • Flavour: medium(+) intensity, flint, smoke, grass, mint, raspberry cranberry
  • Balance: residual sugar and alcohol are well balanced by high acidity and fruit concentration although the alcohol still sticks out a bit
  • Complexity: shows both primary and secondary
  • Definition: aroma/flavour characteristics are distinctively defined
  • Length: on the short side, with just sweetness lingering
  • Ageability: can drink now, but I’d say it has potential to age for a couple more years for some interesting flavour development
  • Quality(outstanding/very good/good/acceptable): very good
Drink Responsibly.
